These paintings focus on wetlands and rivers; including two versions of the Thames - the gritty brown swell of the river around Bermondsey and the contrasting tranquil greenness as it meanders through Richmond. Other areas include the London Wetlands near Barnes and Dawlish Warren, an ecologically significant nature reserve located on a sand spit, part of the River Exe estuary. The paintings in acrylics, painted collage, and inks, consider the relationship of the river to its surroundings, edges and erosion, weather and climatic forces.
